On Falling has as its centrepiece a woman who is falling through the dark sky after being violently pushed. This new moving image is a lesbian re-exploration of the Myth of Sisyphus in which he is condemned to roll a rock up to the top of a mountain, only to have the rock roll back down to the bottom every time he reaches the top. It takes us on a meditative journey through which we witness the falling woman’s steady, yet radical transformation – from ostracism and fear, to composed empowerment.
